Clopton is situated about 6 miles from Woodbridge and 8 miles from the County Town of Ipswich and there are numerous other villages and small towns of charm and interest within easy reach. There are regular concerts at Snape Maltings for music lovers and of course the renowned Aldeburgh Festival every year in June.

The latest edition of the Suffolk Journal, which is published monthly, is always in the guests' room so that they can read not only features of interest about the county but also see what special events are on in any particular month.
